CASH PREFFERED ABOUT VIVIDLY LUCID SALON I am a home based (licensed) nail artist and hair stylist based in Wichita Kansas. I specialize in sculptured nails and vivid hair! E-FILE I shape and finish file entirely with a hand file. An efile is used when I am removing a set to reduce acrylic bulk or when I am doing a fill/rebalance to remove gel polish. REMOVAL I soak in acetone to remove nails, I do not forcefully remove them. ILLEGAL ACRYLIC I know most people have never heard of this however there is a legal acrylic versus an illegal acrylic. Legal acrylic is EMA and illegal acrylic is MMA. MMA is a dental acrylic and needs a rougher surface to adhere to, this leads to damaged nail beds (Acrylic nails should not be damaging!) .It has also been shown to cause health issues if the fumes are consistently breathed in overtime. It is harder than regular acrylic thus if you break it it is more likely to break across your nail bed causing damage to the natural nail and the nail bed. You will know if MMA is being used because it will have a very very strong slightly fruity odor and when you soak it off of your nails it will be very sticky instead of crumbly. It is very hard to remove and can take over an hour to completely remove it. EMA is legal acrylic and it is not as hard as MMA and so you will not deal with it breaking across your nail bed in most circumstances. In fact it will break when it is supposed to saving your natural nail from being removed completely in certain situations. It is safer to use and it will crumble off of the nail when exposed to acetone versus being sticky thus making removal much easier and causing much less damage to your nails. I often get asked why people would choose to use MMA over EMA and the reason is you can get a jug of MMA for 10 to $15 but a jug of EMA is anywhere from $300 to $500 it is simply a way to cut costs at the cost of the techs health and clients health. Cancellation Policy
Please give 48 hours notice before canceling an appointment or 50% of the appointment cost will be due at the time of the missed appointment.
No call, no showing an appointment or cancelling day of will result in 100% of the missed appointment cost being due at time of missed appointment.
If you are 10 minutes or more late to your appointment Vividly lucid Salon reserves the right to cancel your appointment and charge a cancellation/no call no show fee.
